Why I Love This Recipe
It’s fresh, delicious, easy to make and it’s beautiful. Need I say more?
How To Serve Burrata On A Cheese Board
Equipment:
- Pairing knife
- Serving Board or Platter (similar checkered platter)
- Bowls to hold ingredients while arranging the board
Ingredients:
- 1 Container of Burrata filling or two Burrata balls
- 1 Pint Cherry Tomatoes (sliced)
- 1 Package Prosciutto (or other sliced meat)
- 1 Pint Strawberries (or any seasonal fruit)
- 1 Bunch Fresh Basil (leaves pulled off)
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil (for drizzling, my favorite EVOO)
- Salt & Pepper (to taste)
Instructions
In a row, starting at the top of the board, make a line of fruit, then burrata filling, tomatoes, prosciutto, basil, and repeat backwards until you reach the other end of the board. Drizzle EVOO and sprinkle S&P on the burrata and tomatoes. I only put the tomatoes on one side of my board, but feel free to line them up any way you like!
Serve with chilled white wine and bread, crackers or pita wedges.

Pro Tips
Keep It Chilled. You can prep the ingredients in advance, but keep everything chilled in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve.
Layer with Intention. One of the most important parts of this board is presentation, so arrange the ingredients with a balance of colors, textures, and flavors. Place the creamy burrata cheese next to the salty prosciutto, and place tomatoes and fresh fruit nearby to provide contrast and variety.
Recipe Variations
- Make It Vegetarian. Skip the meat and add more fruit or fresh seasonal vegetables.
- Make it Vegan. Use a vegan cheese or replace the burrata with hummus instead. Swap the meat for more fruit or veggies.
- Add Sweet or Spice. If you want a little sweetness, use some balsamic glaze instead of the EVOO. Add a few dashes of red pepper flakes, pickled jalapeños or a hot honey drizzle for a kick of spice.
- Add Some Crunch. If you think your guests would appreciate a little crunch, add some nuts to your board or serve with crackers or crusty bread.

Freezing & Storing Leftovers
Burrata doesn’t freeze well, so it’s best to enjoy it fresh. You can freeze cured meats separately if needed, wrapped tightly in plastic. Store leftover ingredients separately in airtight containers. Keep burrata and fresh fruits refrigerated and use within 2-3 days for best texture and flavor.
Ways to Use Leftovers
Burrata Toast
Spread leftover burrata on toasted bread with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of sea salt for a quick snack or breakfast.
Salad Topper
Add remaining cured meats and fresh fruits to a salad for a flavorful and satisfying lunch.
Pasta Addition
Toss sliced meats and a spoonful of burrata into warm pasta with olive oil and garlic for an easy dinner upgrade.
Flatbread Topping
Use leftovers on a flatbread or pizza, adding fresh herbs and a splash of balsamic for a tasty twist.

Notes
This burrata charcuterie board is the perfect pairing of sweet and savory. I love dipping the fruit in the burrata as well as the prosciutto and tomatoes. It’s one of those things that doesn’t sound that great on paper but really is delicious when put together. Not to mention, it makes for a stunning presentation.
