Summer Heirloom Tomato and Burrata Salad Recipe
Last year, I had the opportunity to visit the French Riviera with one of my closest friends, Lindsay. She is a foodie just like me, so many of our activities revolved around what and where to eat. One of our favorite meals of the trip was at a quaint little bistro in Antibes called Chez Jules. We had an unforgettable dish of fresh tomatoes and creamy burrata cheese. I honestly don’t think I knew tomatoes could take like that! As soon as I set foot back on American soil, I had to create this SUMMER HEIRLOOM TOMATO AND BURRATA SALAD RECIPES and it was almost as good as the French version that lives in my memory.
Believe it or not, this was the first time I had experienced an heirloom tomato burrata salad, and I left that restaurant a changed woman! It also made me realize that quality is so important. High-quality tomatoes, fresh burrata and basil, and really good quality olive oil and sea salt are key to making this dish special.

This is another recipe that is so simple it’s hard to call it a recipe, but it is that good! The simple ingredients and summer produce make for a stunning, delicious and easy appetizer. It’s similar to the traditional Caprese salad, but more like its sophisticated, elegant cousin! This is now a true summer favorite of mine.
